Oh, happy day, happy day.

Hello hellloooooo

So my third sem is starting tomorrow and I just thought of updating you guys on what I've been doing :)

Well, me & roy have been waiting for an opportunity with the proper place and time to take photos. So yeah, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw this community fair held in Beach Street, Penang. This event kickstarts at 7 am all the way to 1 pm, Sunday :) But anyways, here are some pictures :

Yesterday, we went for a short jog. Okay maybe not for him, but I KNOW I had a short jog. After that, we went for Wan Tan Mee. I honestly don't recall how excited I ever am when it comes to food. But this particular Wan Tan Mee that doesn't open every week...... *lost for words.

The last time I had it (which was my first time, thanks Josh for introducing it to me) was December 2012.

THAT LONG

Thank you aunty and uncle for opening the stall, God bless you. :D

While we were on our way for lunch. (The Belum Bangun Faces)
Oh, this isn't my bad hair day.
Because my hair always   looks like this! Hahah.

Also made breakfast for my family and him :)
Egg scramble with ham sandwich for breakfastttttt...

Completed a book from an author which I have always enjoyed.

+ Watching Walter Mitty which I personally think is the best movie I've watch so far. The cinematography and how it has a combination of comedy and values in it. (thumbs up) + having breakfast with a good friend who is leaving to Australia soon ( I'm gonna miss you, Kim!) + celebrating Mr Andrew's birthday at Seoul Garden ( two barbeque+steamboat buffets in a week) + preparing to speak during youth service + taking photos of my lil' nephews as they growing up

Yup, that's just a short summary of how my break went. Short semester which I predict will be hectic again, here I come!

i[m]possible

When people say that it's hard to juggle between church activities and studies.

Tell them that Christ can do all things through YOU because He WILL strengthen you.

Definitely feel so much more motivated to achieve a higher level.

Thank You, Jesus :)

Not ashamed.

Since secondary school, girls around me always felt a lil scared when it comes to taking the pad out from their bag before heading to the toilet. Probably also because I come from a coet school :)

Some wrap it in newspaper, some take it out and superduper quickly hid it inside their pocket like a ninja and some call their friends to take it for them. ( Hahah, the third one is quite funny sometimes if you ask me)

I..... have never experienced any of that. I'm not talking about period, of course.

I don't understand why girls are ashamed to carry their pad when its that time of the month. You're a lady, be proud that you're having it :)

So what if guys see that you are holding it? It's not like they have the opportunity to experience what YOU are experiencing right right?

This is probably the most awkward post ever.

Something About December

Hello hello :)

As you guys probably know, I don't exactly update my blog very frequently.. heheh.
But anyways, here's a brief update on how my December has been.
So Nathan celebrated his 4th birthday with lil' Evan (his birthday is tmr btw!)
Decided to take some pictures during the mini celebration with family and friends.

What is Christmas without family dinz yaw?! (Family Dinner)
Big sis gave us all a treat at Kaffa. Mmmmmm...

No, he wasn't trying to follow my dad's pose. Hahah

 This,
Is THE highlight of my December.
Bringing my two cousins to AYC 2013.
Started convincing them to join since JYR but both were pretty reluctant and by the time they actually made a decision, it was a little too late to sign up.
Constantly praying and asking them (to ask their parents) and finally, there was a green light!
When you hear them telling their parents that youth camp was awesome and that it was the best camp they've ever been to.

It really brings joy :)

Celebrating Ben's 19th with the KTB gang.

Will update my blog again on AYC 2013 :) (Yes, I did not say "soon" this time okayyyy)

Have a blessed 2014, people! Make it count :)

values & principles.

So Nathan lost his Iron Man toy which he got from Tesco, where you collect chops and get a free toy.

He forgot where he misplaced it but I heard him telling to my mom  "maybe it dropped out from my pocket when I went to the playground".

He went to the rooms, searched through the sofa, looked around.

So I decided to bring him to the playground to find for his toy.

We reached the place and there was a group of young boys playing ball.

Kicking the ball as high as they can, kicking it against the wall so that it can bounce back and running around to snatch the ball from each other.

It wasn't football, I don't know what it was anyways. Probably kickball.

So nathan got distracted, obviously.

After searching for his toy (which we didn't find in the end), he joined them.

He looked at them and gave a friendly hi while waving his hand at them but no one bothered.

These boys were speaking in Mandarin, a language which Nathan hasn't learned (yet).

He started going all like "wow! go go go! run for the ball! oooohhhhh!!!"

And the boys were just looking at him like - whut. *crickets singing.

I decided to just stand at the side and watch them play.

He was there for about 10-15 minutes, and for the whole time, Nathan was running just to get the ball which he didn't.

One of the boys had the ball and nathan was standing right in front of him, but he kicked it to his other friend.

Out of the 10-15 minutes of running, Nate only had one chance to kick the ball.

One of the boys kicked the ball against the wall and it bounced back to Nate.

After that, this boy said in mandarin, "haha, this boy like monkey hor. run here, run there. never get the ball"

Immediately after that, I told nate that we had to go back for dinner.

Nate got a lil upset, like how kids always are when they have to say goodbye to the playground or to their friends.

"Why they so bad one, don't want to let me play"

For that moment, I could feel every word of that sentence cause I know how that feels while growing up too.

But that's not the point, hahaha. (you're probably thinking then why did I just read all of that.....)

It was something the boy said which made me think.

"This boy like monkey. run here, run there. never get the ball"

This boy is probably like 6-7 years old.

Was I a lil angry that he said to my nephew? Yup.

Was I angry at the boy for saying it? Nope.

He's only 6-7 years old, he probably didn't even understand what that really meant.

What if it was something he picked up from his parents? While sitting quietly in the car, absorbing these words?

Don't get me wrong, people. I am not blaming parents. Haha no no.

What I am trying to say is that what parents say, your values and principles  really can affect how your child thinks.

If you think that sharing your possessions with others is bad, there is a high chance your child will not want to share his toys with his friends.

If cursing is a habit that you do not get rid of, chances are that your kids will learn some of the things you say too.

I am not a mom but I strongly believe that the values and principles parents have really can affect how the child will grow up as an adult.

thank You.

Watching my sister and her family welcoming their second precious son, Evan Ch'ng.

When he decides to ask my parents' permission to date me.

Receiving my SPM results which made me stay back in Penang.

Starting college life as a business student.

Going up to Penang Hill to spend three days and two nights with firebrands worship team.

Watching my all time favorite artist perform live with my favorite people.

Bringing two of my cousins for youth camp, which is their very first time.

Taking pictures for a prom night event.

Performing with my favorite singer and guitarist.

I am nothing but an ordinary girl, really.

There are so many more out there that are wayyyyy talented than me.

But man, I am thankful for this year.

Was I disappointed that I had to stay back in Penang? Yup, very.

But then again, thank God for open doors and closed doors.

Something which YB Hannah Yeoh, the state assemblyman of Subang Jaya shared which touched my heart ;

You can sit in front of the closed door/s and cry over it or you can thank God for it and find the open door instead.

I am beyond thankful for the opportunities God has given to me, even when I least deserved it.

For a supportive family and boyfriend who has helped me make sure that I'm on the right track.

Looking forward to see what 2014 has installed for me :)

Hello, November!

Hello people!

So it' already November. Just a few weeks away from the most beautiful time of the year :)

Just two days ago, I had the opportunity to watch my two cousins, Jessie and Ashley dance for their ballet concert

Decided to bring my DSLR along because it's been a while since I took some pictures.

It was quite a challenge because I did not have my SB700 flash with me, & considering how it's a dance (fast motion speed).

But anyways, here are some pictures taken from the concert!

Felt all so girly after the performance. Like "could you pass me that cup of tea, darling?"

That's about it! :) loads of work to finish off. Till next time, readers!

Hui mui : Eulene!! So how are you actually?
Me : heyyyyy! What's that "actually" supposed to mean huh? I'm alright :) you?
Hui mui : yeah, cause you always say you're okay one. Very busy and hectic also say you're fine one. You think I don't know ah?
Both : *laughs

Treasure every friendship you have, really :) even if it means sparing some minutes to just listen, show some love and care :)
